MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

I realize that this posting might seem a bit corny or silly, a bit presumptious that anyone wants to see pictures of me, but what the heck.  I do feel a lot of good vibes this Christmas...lots of nice people, a very wonderful place to be, lots of support, LOTS to be thankful for.

In another week or so I'll be wrapping up my current visit to Halls Gap, an amazingly nice place who has essentially 'adopted' me over the past few months.  After having spent over 12 years traveling around Australia, I would have to say that 'Budja Budja', the indigenous name for this area, is by far one of if not THE nicest place to live in this whole country, in terms of its unique beauty and power, relatively remote location yet accessibility, it's indigenous heritage that's very much alive and well, and the truly lovely people who live here.

From here I'll journey down to Tasmania, to carry on the 'good fight' there, with plans to connect with who is regarded to be the best whale and dolphin rescue team in the southern hemisphere, as well as to learn about the recent mining debacle that has just been unleased in the Tarkine, one of Tasmania's most remote and currently undistrupted wilderness areas. Environmental minister Tony Burke...whose real title should be 'Minister of Extraction'...has just given the green-light to Venture Mining to rape and pillage the Tarkine for iron compounds and to do OPEN-CUT MINING FOR COAL.  Open-cut mining in Tasmania is no less diabolical of a violation of any kind of true ecological sensibility than is the dredging of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage area and the dredging of a major humpback whale nursery off James Price Point near Broome...ALL of these heinous atrocities have been given the go-ahead by Burke and company.

These are NOT nice 'Christmas presents' for Australia, but are reality just the same.
More on this in another posting.

I also hope to catch up with Liesbet, my partner of five years, who has been in Tasmania for a couple weeks now, doing some wwoofing and tramping on her own. We've been 'doing our own things' for a few months, and she feels a need to 'spread her wings' and 'cryo' on her own, all of which are fully essential for an evolving dolphin-goddess. Mother Earth and the whales and dolphins in particular, however, are calling to us now more than ever to continue our 'ultimate creative partnership' to 'fight the good fight.'

All along I've told Liesbet that I fully support her in whatever she feels she needs to do, but we must bear in mind that this is NOT the world of ten, or five, or even two years ago. With all the EXTREMELY heavy stuff happening in the world, I honestly don't know how much longer ANY of us really has. Anyone who thinks that 'business as usual' is ok is totally out of touch with reality.  Moreover, birds, butterflies and dolphins have to have a healthy Mother Earth to live on. She is under heavier and heavier attack as each day goes by. My love for her is the driving force behind my all-out activism and information awareness, the unending battle against apathy, indifference, denial and the unquestioned but highly dysfunctional beliefs and assumptions of our current mentality. I truly hope that Liesbet, who is one of the most spirutually beautiful and innately talented people I know, will continue to help me with the work and challenges before us, as a crew member of Mothership Earth, not just a passenger.

We've just been invited back to Arne 'Balarni' Erickson's place on Flinders Island, where we lived for four amazing months last year, in remote non-electric semi-permaculture, and I truly hope that Liesbet will join me, so that we can conduct our own 'sacred pow-wow' in our Mother Earth Temple, which is in great need of renovation, raise the Rainbow Djed pillar once again in honour of the 'new creation', and jam in the kiva, re-activating and re-kindling the power of Mother Earth and Father Sky, in honour of the 'people of one heart' and the immense creativity that each of us possesses, the 'ultimate technology' that we are ALL being called on to bring on-line NOW.

I wish each and everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Nu Year, 'nu' being the Greek letter signifying 'frequency'...let us make a fantastic effort to raise the frequency of our own vibrations to the highest possible levels, in harmony with the greatest good for all life on Mothership Earth.

And let us all make a concerted effort to 'live simply so that others may simply live.

WITH ME and 'ABORIGINAL FLAG'
designed by NT artist Harold Thomas in 1972

'Wudjub-guyun', or Hollow Mountain, is one of the most special places I've been fortunate enough to visit, not only in Gariwerd National Park but in all of Australia.  I was also lucky enough to be there when no one else was around.  The total absence of human noise and vibration, other than my own (which is relatively quiet and harmonious) enabled me really to feel the energy of the Earth there, theh spirit of the place, an other-worldly dimensional awareness of a beyond-time and space far older than anything the modern human mind can grasp.

I have also been very fortunate to become friends with Aroona, or 'Roony', the educational supervisor for Gariwerd Cultural Centre.  A couple days ago I filmed an in-depth interview with him on all-things-indigenous in Australia and in this area. This was extremely powerful and deeply moving, as this was the first time in my 12 years of travel in Australia that I've been able to sit down with a black Australian and listen to their story. SO much horror has come down in this country, and there is SO much healiing that needs to be done.

I agree with Roony that education, mainly of the younger people, is a big part of the solution the on-going dilemma of black Australians, the REAL people of this continent. I have offered my services in any way that I can help, including working on making a film that tells these stories in a way that can inspire people to want to understand, to want to work to heal the wounds of past and present, and to work together to create harmoniously a beautiful and healthful future for ALL the people, ALL the life-forms, ALL the ancestors of Gariwerd, of Australia, of Mothership Earth.

Roony's interview will be up on youtube soon.

Enjoy these photos of a very special place during this 'sacred moment in time.'  I was going to return to Wudjub-guyun tomorrow in honour of the solstice and the 'Mayan calendar' awareness, but will probably just stay put and work on the many paintings I'm finishing up now...in honour of my own highest path.

Let's all give thanks to the Great Spirit and Mother Earth for the beautiful gifts of life that we all share and let the immense beauty and power of  being-here-now inspire us to wake up, to do our very best as human beings, to seek oour highest spiritual paths, to honour our own amazing powers of creativity, and to 'live simply so that others may simply live.'
